Member Bios

Aleksey Andriyenko

Aleksey is a freshman in the College of Engineering at Cornell University. His current intended major is Mechanical Engineering. His role on the team is to build the arm and fix any technical difficulties encountered. Aside from enjoying solving interesting problems, engineering related or not, he enjoys bowling, watching action movies, gaming and most importantly hanging out with friends.

Fred Ballyns

Fred Ballyns is a mechanical engineer. What interests him the most about working on this project team is coming up with simple solutions to complicated problems. Understanding the limitations of the team members' assumptions and testing whether or not they hold is a critical part of the design process. In the future he hopes to be able to contribute in technological advancements that help those with missing limbs.

Tunc Ertan

Tunc is an international sophomore student from Turkey majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He is a part of the mechanical subteam of Snakearm. He has a profound interest in history and he likes to spend his free time with photography.

Johnattan Llanos

Johnattan was born on November 15,1990 in Hackensack, New Jersey although he has hispanic root descents from Bolivia. He is the son of Efrain and Marina Llanos, and has a younger brother. He attended Bergen County Technical High School in Teterboro New Jersey where he majored in Pre-Engineering and has worked as part of Samsung's Technical Support Team. His main interests is mechanical/aerospace engineering and soccer. Currently, he is enrolled in the College of Engineering and pursuing a Mechanical Engineering Bachelor Degree.
